Celebrating Super Chicken Wing and National Pizza Day
On February 4, MariCorp employees enjoyed a special luncheon featuring freshly grilled chicken wings and hot pizza to celebrate Super Chicken Wing Day and National Pizza Day—two observances typically linked to Super Bowl Sunday. Since we are closed on Sundays, we moved the celebration to an earlier date so everyone could indulge in a delicious meal.
Scott Fitzpatrick and Kyle Wilkerson were on hand to oversee quality control, ensuring the meal met MariCorp’s high standards, while Luis and Melanie made sure the wings were served hot and crispy off the grill. Melanie made fresh blue cheese and French onion dip, and a assortment of dipping sauces were for at hand for a variety of taste buds.
Every month, MariCorp strives to provide a fresh, hot luncheon for the shop, water crew, and office teams. With numerous observances to choose from, the process of deciding on each month’s meal is a fun, collaborative effort, supported by employee feedback. Because these observances often fall on arbitrary dates, the luncheons are scheduled at times when the majority of MariCorp employees are present.
