The Grande Maumelle Sailing Club is a member-driven and family-oriented club dedicated to the sport of sailing with an emphasis on racing.
Founded in 1959, Grande Maumelle Sailing Club (GMSC) is a not-for-profit sailing club located just 20 minutes outside of Little Rock on beautiful Lake Maumelle, with onsite clubhouse, pavilion, docks, keelboat slips, and accommodations for trailered sailboats with a boat ramp and crane. GMSC is organized to promote sailboat racing. They have active centerboard and keelboat fleets, as well as club owned boats available to qualified sailors. Their racing program consists of a series of races from May through October for centerboard boats, and from November through April for keelboats. In addition to biweekly races and regattas, numerous social events are sponsored by the club, including the annual Spring Fling and Fall Ball, moonlight sails, regattas and parties.
